Step Up Your Business
Step Up Your Business is a business support network for existing business owners. Members meet monthly in a workshop-style setting to tackle tough day-to-day business issues, and benefit from the opportunity to share and learn from other business owners in an atmosphere of trust. The workshops give members access to education, resources, guest speakers, and goal setting with mentoring partnerships.
Step Up Your Business is sponsored by SWIF, in partnership with Chambers of Commerce, the Minnesota Workforce Center, Ridgewater College, Minnesota West Community and Technical College, and the Small Business Development Center.
The first Step Up Your Business network was started Fall 2007 in Hutchinson, Minn. This model will be replicated in other southwest Minnesota communities, including Marshall, Minn., Spring 2008.
Requirements for participation in Step Up Your Business include:
- A willingness to work toward improving your business
- Minimum of three years in business
- A one-year membership to the network
